This summer, members and supporters of Citizens for Fauquier County (CFFC) came together once more to make a difference in our community through the Adopt-a-Highway initiative. Our committed team concentrated their efforts on King Hill Road and Cemetery Road in Southern Fauquier, dedicating a morning to clean and enhance these vital roadways, which span a two-mile stretch of historic paths in the county.

The Adopt-a-Highway initiative aligns perfectly with CFFC’s mission to protect Fauquier County’s natural, historical, and agricultural heritage. By caring for these roads, we not only improve the local environment but also foster a sense of community pride and spirit. This latest cleanup marks five years of dedicated volunteer work, resulting in the removal of more than five truckloads of trash and debris by CFFC since we began this program.
CFFC has been a steadfast advocate for Fauquier’s responsible growth and preservation of its rural agricultural landscape. These cleanups represent more than just litter collection; they are a small yet meaningful contribution to our ongoing efforts to sustain the beauty and integrity of our county’s landscapes for future generations.
CFFC encourages everyone who shares our love for Fauquier County to join us during our bi-annual litter cleanup days. It's a wonderful chance to make a positive difference and connect with others who are passionate about our community. If you’re interested in getting involved or would like to learn more about how you can help, please reach out to us at admin@citizensforfauquier.org.
Let’s work together to keep Fauquier beautiful, one road at a time!
