CFFC's President, Kevin Ramundo, provided the following commentary regarding the recent Fauquier Times story outlining the Warrenton Town Council's approval of Amazon's latest data center site development plan.
"An interesting article on several counts. The Town of Warrenton moved quickly to approve the latest site development plan for Amazon’s Warrenton data center even though the plan lacks very important information about noise and electricity supply. The approval was rushed according to two town council members, occurring just a few days before the Town Council was to meet and discuss these important issues. The meeting will be held at the town hall, 21 Main Street, beginning at 6:30 pm on Wednesday 4/24 and is open to the public.
While citizens won't be allowed to speak, don’t miss what will be a very interesting meeting and to let the Town Council know by your presence that you are concerned about the data center and how the controversial process continues with unanswered questions and a lack of information. The article also addresses Citizens for Fauquier County’s continuing lawsuit to stop the data center."
