Bealeton US 17 Corridor
Two community meetings with active citizen participation were held March 24th and again on May 5th  to discuss the Bealeton Route 17 Corridor Plan.  At the May meeting, the background information and results from the first meeting were presented, and a vision for the corridor developed.   The citizens were in agreement and validated the basic concepts in the Lee District Comprehensive Plan.  County Planning staff will prepare a final plan as an update to the Comprehensive Plan to be presented to the Planning Commission and BOCS following the usual process.  The presentation from the meeting is available on the county’s website as are the notes from the meetings.   Follow this link: http://www.fauquiercounty.gov/government/departments/commdev/index.cfm?action=bealeton_area_info
