US 29 Improvement Options unveiled on 5 May 2010 - The results of a joint Fauquier County, Piedmont Environmental Council, Citizens for Fauquier County, and Vint Hill Economic Development Authority funded analysis of US 29 potential improvements options between Warrenton and the Prince William County line were presented to County officials and attending residents at a public meeting on 5 May 2010.  Read a summary and download copies of handouts and slides at our US 29 Improvement Options page.

A Western Bypass for Warrenton? - In January of 2009 the Supervisors initiated a relook of the Warrenton Service District comprehensive plan with the apparent goal of putting a US 211 - US 17 bypass connector back on the map. Get CFFC's take on this proposal at our
Collector Not Connector page.

VDOT US 29 Study Drops  Gainesville Bypass in New Baltimore - Read our analysis on the
VDOT 2030 Study page . The response VDOT received at the 1 October VDOT comment session in Warrenton, and follow up correspondence and action by our Supervisors has made the Gainesville bypass in Fauquier go away again, but will it come back?

Will US 29/15 and Broadview end up with a string of stop lights - It does not have to happen.  CFFC joined with PEC to sponsored a 4 August 2009 work session on roadway Access Management which was attended by Fauquier County planners, planning commissioners and supervisors.  Check out the concepts that were exposed to which can aid in maintaining Fauquier's character on our
Access Management page.
