Land Use Committee
 Mission:
To monitor potential development and recommend responive action by CFFC; To routinely attend and report on work sessions and public hearings of Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors; Seek out information on improved land use concepts, planning, and development to provide forward thinking perspectives supporting CFFC's mission to elected and appointed officials and County staff.

Volunteers are need to:

- To monitor develop submissions to County offices to identify submissions requiring rezonings, waivers, special permits, or special exceptions.

- Help research identified submissions with consequential impacts to the County in general, or local neighborhoods, and develop comments to the appropriate decision body and for publication on our web site and in the Monitor.

- Monitor and review proposed land use associated ordinances for negative or un-intended consequences relative to implementing the County's Comprehensive Plan.

- Identify and research regional and national trends for development concepts and practices which, if adopted by Fauquier County, would enhance the preservation of natural, historic, and agricultural resources within Fauquier County and protect the County's unique way of life.
